Next we took a stroll down Milan's grand shopping boulevard to the Sforza Castle. Built in the 15th century by the Duke of Dukey (or the Duke of Milan), Francesco Sforza. Once a medieval fortification, it now houses a million museums.
The most notable item being Michelangelo's final, and unfinished, sculpture: Pieta. A really interesting piece that shows Christ much leaner and elongated than we'd seen depicted before.
As Rick Steeves sez, it's the closest you'll ever get to a Michelangelo.
Also of note in the museum was Galileo's compass. Little known fact, on the reverse side he scribbled in "Gettin' shit done!"
Feeling leg weary and a tad jetlagged, we went back to the inn for a short snooze and shower, then out for an evening of fun. Here's a cool party trick to show the kids!
